Would like posts in same categories to go to same pages

I am unsure after reading the plugin site how to use this arguement:
[catlist argument1=value1 argument2=value2]
where is it that I put it? Do I have to use this argument eveery time I post or what?
Could you please explain a bit more than the plugin site as I am hopeful to use this plugin.

1. Determine your category id you want to display on a Page (see How do I determine a Post, Page, Category, Tag, Link, Link Category, or User ID?). Let’s assume the category id is 24.
2. You said you have already created Pages so on that Page where you want the category 24 listed, in the content of that page, put [catlist id=24].

What file do I open to add the “[catlist id=24]” ? And does it matter where I put it as in the top or the bottom…?

I don’t think it matters where you put it. Have you tried it yet? Because if you don’t like the result you can delete the shortcode and deactivate/delete the plugin.
