Would have been nice to use

unfortunately it conflicts with the Cornerstone editor by Themeco. Too bad. Could have really used the functionality for managing our online magazine.
Somebody give me a bump if this gets fixed.

Cornerstone editor by Themeco looks nice. thanks for the tip ??
I think it’s really unfair to ‘down-rate’ a plugin just because it doesn’t work with someone else’s theme or plugin or premium service.
Plugins should be evaluated on their own merits, and this one — Edit Flow — deserves a much higher rating than two stars. Those of us who DON’T use Cornerstone but DO use Edit Flow think it’s a great plugin.
I would strongly encourage you to take this into account and either change or remove your rating. If the plugin doesn’t work with Cornerstone, that should mean a support request (to either), not a bad rating.
I think it’s “really unfair” to tell people that they don’t deserve an opinion. Berating me for it only forces me to remain intransigent.
My client had some choice words about not being able to use the plugin, at least I was nice about their concerns.
Putting in support tickets on free plugins has little to no effect. In my experience, most developers ignore it or point the finger at the other developer stating it’s not their problem, it’s the other guys. Same with premium services when you refer to a free version of some theme or plugin.
Your last paragraph reads like you have a personal stake in the developers agenda. My comment and rating will remain as written and rated until the situation has been looked into and fixed.

That’s not what TrishaM did.
Your review isn’t about this plugin as much as it is about the Cornerstone editor’s incompatibility with this plugin. You could have raised a support topic but you opted for a 2 star review instead.
That’s fine BTW. You could leave a one star if you like. People do read these reviews and are able to determine which ones have value or not. All that you were asked was to try and work with the author before leaving a review. That’s not a big ask.

I think you misspelled “extortion” there. Hopefully the author won’t stoop to being held hostage somehow by a bad review.
Should you choose to assist in solving your problem then feel free to start a support topic.

I’m sure that will work out better than “fix my problem or the review gets it”.
So it’s troll time on the Review boards. Nice. The fact that you lot seem content to attack others for their opinion and to suggests strongly that I am the issue while doling out abuse is quaint.
If you want a flame war with all this extra time you have I’m sure the moderators will have a blast dealing with it all. Enjoy wasting everyone’s time.Troll? Attack? Abuse? No one is being a troll or attacking or abusing anyone.
All we are suggesting is that if you’re going to leave a review, at least be fair about it, and evaluate it based on what it does and how well it does it, not how it interracts with other plugins. That’s all.
You are always entitled to your opinion. It just doesn’t help anyone to say “this plugin sucks because it doesn’t work with that (unrelated) plugin”.
Plugin authors are NOT compelled to be certain that their plugin works with EVERY OTHER plugin out there, given that there are thousands of plugins. However, many plugin authors DO try, and will generally work to solve problems if you ASK them. The team behind EditFlow is phenomenal and very responsive. All you needed to so was open a support ticket with them, or with Cornerstone.
I never said it sucked and yes, what you both are doing is textbook troll behavior. If my original comments required a response from anyone it should have come from the moderators of this forum or the developers themselves (who I am sure can fight their own battles without anyone else’s help).
There was no “personal” issue here till you made it one.
I can’t believe I’m typing this.
Let’s agree to disagree, shall we?
- You posted a review.
- Someone offered the opinion that your review is unfair and why.
- You accused them of berating you for offering your opinion.
- I opined on the topic and corrected you.
- Additional hilarity ensued.
I’m now closing this review. It’s not because I agree or disagree with your review (I disagree with your attitude). This went from a bad plugin review to accusations of “textbook troll behavior” and is no longer useful or productive.
Edit: In the future before you leave another review perhaps these two links will help you and others.
