When a plugin has the words “AUTO POST” in its name one would assume that it, you know, auto posts. Apparently not in this case. If you actually want to auto-post, you’ll have to buy the premium version. This is clearly bait & switch.

Is the premium version worth it? I have no idea, because I find the bait & switch name so deeply offensive that I won’t buy it. I’d rather spend money on a different premium plugin that is at least honest about what it does, this one is simply scammy.

We are sorry to hear your opinion. And we are very sorry that you did not even try the free trial of the plugin before stating your opinion. Rest assured, the plugin does what it promises.

Like many other plugins on WordPress, Blog2Social is Freemium, which means that we offer a basic free version as well as advanced features in the Premium versions. More than 70.000 users worldwide appreciate the broad range of features and options. Many of our users are perfectly happy with the free version.

Blog2Social offers a wide range of automation and customizing options in the free version. However, to ensure compliance with the new API rules of the social networks, some advanced functions of the auto-posting and auto-scheduling features are provided in the Premium versions.

In fact, there are many things you can do with the free version of Blog2Social, also automatically post across a large range of social media accounts at once. You can customize your social posts in one single workflow in the preview editor and many more things.

Take a look at all the things you can do with the free version of Blog2Social.
    For example:
-Share your posts or pages on 13 different social networks at once: Twitter, Facebook (profile and page), LinkedIn (profile), XING (profile), Pinterest, Reddit, Torial, Medium, Tumblr, Flickr, Diigo, Bloglovin and VK
-Customize your social media posts with personal comments, hashtags, handles, emojis, and select an image of your choice from your blog post. You can even edit the complete HTML markup for re-publishing your post on Tumblr, Torial, and Medium.
-View all your social media posts in one single place.
-Automatically generate hashtags from the tags of your post.
-Edit the meta tag information of your blog posts and pages.
-Use the free Blog2Social Extension for Firefox and Chrome to save links while browsing and share them whenever you want.

So, we really invite you to check out the plugin with all options to form a well-founded judgement.

I DID try the free plugin.

When I tried to setup automatic social posting, it told me I needed to buy the Premium version. If I have to manually post to social networks, I can do that by myself. What I spent a lot of time seeking out was a plugin that AUTOMATICALLY posted to social networks for me. Yours claims to in its name, but does not.

I stand by my review. Either perform the auto posting, or change the name.
