Would appreciate a bit of help with a few issues!

I have basically got the word press site to look how I want but having issues with a few things and would appreciate any help!

1) On the main index page https://www.andywaite.net I am trying to remove the white line above the menu and also failing to get the menu fully centered (is pulling a little bit to the left)

I need the text below the main image to start inline with the start of the image and finish at the end of the image. I think it’s the div table itself rather than the text?

The menu aso displays in all capitals yet I want it to all be lower case
and also getting a black border round the header logo which isn’t on the original image and cannot see what is causing this?

2) On the Gallery page https://andywaite.net/paintings-3 I want to have the categories as shown but linking to the respective galleries. I cannot find a way to link these images. Also is there a way of taking off the grey borders and making the description text normal instead of italic?

Thanks in advance for any pointers! I have looked all over to try and find a solution to these but cannot find anything.
