• worthless, unless you pay to upgrade everything is hidden behind “upgrade” screens. Basically you give the developer all your data and they don’t even show it to you unless you buy it back form them.

    Hi @lastqa,

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I’m really sorry about the frustration here.

To clarify, no data is given to our team. MonsterInsights asks only for the permissions needed to work seamlessly with your Google Analytics property. This means you enable our plugin to use Google’s API to display your data in MonsterInsights reports found within your WordPress admin at Insights ? Reports, or within the dashboard widget reports.

We also have usage tracking to help us better understand our users. Here’s a guide on the information we collect: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/usage-tracking/

If you would prefer to opt-out, you can disable the option at Insights ? Settings and turning off the Allow Usage Tracking option.

With our Lite (free) version, you’ll have access to our Overview report at Insights ? Reports, where you can view critical site statistics (such as page views in the last 30 days, top posts and pages, etc). Additionally, you’ll automatically track custom events such as telephone and email click tracking, affiliate and outbound link tracking, and you’ll be able to view this data or view full reports within your Google Analytics property by going to analytics.google.com.

Lastly, I’m sorry about the notifications. It’s not our intent to cause clutter. We try to provide as much value as possible to our users by communicating the Pro version features because a lot of users aren’t aware of them and can benefit greatly.

We really appreciate you for giving us a try and if you have any suggestions for the things you’d like to see in the Lite version, please let me know and I’d be happy to share your feedback with the team.

    Thank you.
