I am using Worth the Read on a membership site, so I cannot post a URL with it in action.

When I was doing updates to my website recently, I noticed that my backend menu options (Appearance > Menu) were completely blank or lost their title. I troubleshot the issue, activating one plugin at a time, and identified that the issue only appeared when Worth the Read was activated. Needless to say, this makes updating my website a little bit more difficult ??

I put this website on hold this summer, so I do not know when the issue started.

Once deactivated, the problem goes away.

There does not appear to be any issue on the front end.

I have updated WordPress, my theme and all plugins to their most recent versions:
    Wordpress 5.5.1
    Flatsome 3.12.2

    Plugins:
    Ad Inserter
All-in-One WP Migration (as part of another troubleshoot issue with SVG images on my server, this is temporary)
    Classic Editor
    Lightweight Subscribe To Comments
Link for Shopify and Wishlist Member
    Loco Translate
MonsterInsights – Google Analytics pour WordPress
    Redirection
    Safe SVG
    UpdraftPlus – Sauvegarde/Restauration
    WishList Member?
    Wordfence Security
    WP Mail SMTP
    WP Rocket
    WPComplete
    Yoast SEO

    Any help appreciated.

@brianmcculloh I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. While I know you have the best of intentions, it’s forum policy that you not ask users for admin or server access. Users on the forums aren’t your customers, they’re your open source collaborators, and requesting that kind of access can put you and them at high risk.

If they are paying customers (such as people who bought a premium service/product from you) then by all means, direct them to your official customer support system. But in all other cases, you need to help them here on the forums.

Thankfully are other ways to get information you need:

    You get the idea.

We know volunteer support is not easy, and this guideline can feel needlessly restrictive. It’s actually there to protect you as much as end users. Should their site be hacked or have any issues after you accessed it, you could be held legally liable for damages. In addition, it’s difficult for end users to know the difference between helpful developers and people with malicious intentions. Because of that, we rely on plugin developers and long-standing volunteers (like you) to help us and uphold this particular guideline.

When you help users here and in public, you also help the next person with the same problem. They’ll be able to read the debugging and solution and educate themselves.

I’m wondering if it is a combination of WTR and other plugins. Or if the issue is with your theme. To find out, please let me know if the issue still happens with none of the other plugins active.

As mentioned in my initial request, “I troubleshot the issue, activating one plugin at a time, and identified that the issue only appeared when Worth the Read was activated.”

The issue happens when Worth the read is the only plugin activated. I cannot currently test if it is my theme, as my site is live and this is not a staging environnement.

Thanks, that definitely narrows it down to the theme then. Is this a free theme or a premium theme? If it’s premium, would there be a way for me to get my hands on a copy of it so I can test it on my own environment?
