• Wanted to try out their AI Generator, so I went ahead and purchased it from their site. Right below it it states that you get a free trial. Never got any free trial, besides that, after purchasing the AI generation it didn’t even work, had to first contact them to get this resolved via their fancy Tier 2 staff. Had something to do with “Flexbox” feature not being enabled in their settings.

    Now I got it finally working I tried it out, quickly realizing it is basically useless since it renders all these Pro elements, which I don’t own. Now I requested a refund, and they keep telling me that they won’t provide a refund because of their terms of service states this. Well jokes on them, I won’t be installing this Elementor plugin any longer on any of my customers websites, now and in the future, and am thinking about removing it from any existing sites where possible. And I won’t be purchasing nor using any of their products now or in the future now I know what kind of company is behind it.

    Would have given zero stars if that was possible. And don’t even have the nerve to reply to this Review because my decision is also “non-reversible” just like your purchase (with falsely advertising the free trial).

  • I think what’s happening is that the “free ride” is over for Elementor. There are a lot of competitors out there with some excellent offerings and they don’t have predatory sales practices. Elementor believes their customers are captive and treats them as such – from horrible support to refund policies. The worst, IMO, is the renewal policy – stop renewing and they cancel your license. You read that right – they cancel your license – whether you’re running prod or not.

    You ducked a bullet – I’m dead in the water and scrambling to redevelop my site with a different platform.
