• Where do I begin? I have the pro version. This plugin disconnects from Facebook at least once a week, requiring me to go back in and re-connect it.

On top of that, the Twitter feed was never fixed to work with the new API, which is why I switched to the Facebook model.

Do they give you access to all models? No – they want you to pay for every single one (ripoff).

Finally, this plugin started crashing my website due to a memory leak. I only found out about it when Google de-indexed the page the plugin was displayed on.

Slow / crap support, bad code and when updates do get released, they never seem to fix the actual issues.

I hate this plugin – I won’t be buying anything more from this developer.

    Hey @emergencyscotch,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely appreciate your insights and want to address the concerns you’ve raised.

We understand the frustration caused by the Facebook disconnection issue. Unfortunately, this is a challenge we face as we rely on Facebook’s API and Access Tokens, which are fully controlled by them. While we strive to make our products as user-friendly as possible, some aspects, like account disconnections, are beyond our control. We can provide recommendations on preventing such problems and enhance your experience.

Regarding the Twitter API issues, we have addressed them in the most recent versions of both the free and PRO plugins. Our new solution allows you to create timeline feeds, with limitations due to Twitter API changes, as outlined in our documentation: https://smashballoon.com/doc/smash-balloon-twitter-changes/

We offer both free and PRO versions to cater to different needs. The free version provides a basic working feed, and the PRO version offers additional features for users with specific requirements.

We’re sorry to hear about the site crashing issue. While we extensively test our products in various environments, specific server configurations may cause issues. The root cause might not be the plugin itself, and we’re more than willing to assist you in identifying any server-related problems.

We take your feedback seriously and are committed to improving our products. If you have specific concerns or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out through our support channels, and we’ll do our best to address them.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the opportunity to improve your experience with our plugins.

    Best regards,
