Hi guys, I need to say that your plugin seems to be not ready to be running. Every other login, the plugin doesn’t recognize the credentials and display several errors like your account is not connected. Do I need to relogin after implementing an API, every other day?

Adsense neither works fine and the report seems not reliable at all, most of the times says Google is working on your site, but no options to modify or anything after this. When we try to add Tag Manager, the response was there’s no account on your account, and many other really big bugs.

This is not a message for the dev team, is more directed to the final user: try it, but don’t expect too much from this implementation, my opinion is: this plugin could be helpful some day, not this week nor this month. Keep working as usual.

  • @estereofonico thanks for your feedback and I’m sorry to hear your experience has not been the best. While most Site Kit users don’t encounter the issues you’ve noted, there may be something specific to your case that could be impacting your experience. We’d like to help resolve them and provide clarity on what could be occurring.

Every other login, the plugin doesn’t recognize the credentials and display several errors like your account is not connected. Do I need to relogin after implementing an API, every other day?

Could you tell us how many sites you’re using Site Kit on?

There are OAuth limits that may be involved in this case. While we’ve made some improvements on how Site Kit handles these limits, if you hit a certain threshold, reauthorization on a site may be required to refresh your connection. Please note your tracking stays in tact.

Since Site Kit is not directly setting these limits, one way to prevent this when using Site Kit with multiple sites is to use a designated Google account per each or a small group of sites at time to avoid hitting the threshold. We’d appreciate any information about your current use to see what we can do to further improve this experience.

Adsense neither works fine and the report seems not reliable at all, most of the times says Google is working on your site, but no options to modify or anything after this.

From what I gather, you are referring to the review and approval wait time to get Adsense running on your site?

If that is the case, please refer to the Adsense documentation on what this entails. Site Kit provides a way to insert the code to connect to Adsense. It also displays reports on your Ad performance and monetization. The review process is something that is required for new accounts and sites.

While waiting usually resolves this in either an approved account/ site or further instructions from Adsense (via email or in your account directly), one thing to check if you’re using Site Kit to insert the code is the source code of your site for a snippet similar to this one. We’re also happy to check if you’d like to provide your site URL.

When we try to add Tag Manager, the response was there’s no account on your account.

This may be related to account setup and permissions at Tag Manager. Did you have an account and container setup at Tag Manager before Site Kit?

Thanks again @estereofonico ! We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi @reneesoffice and thanks for your concern. I have 6 sites authorized to your plugin with one account, the other domains are also displaying the same error over the income from Adsense (every other day/login is available).

We’re an agency and the time is priceless. If your plugin is seeking for better stats report and save time displaying it in one to three blocks is awesome, then please do not force the user to relogin on your OAuth after every update or change in the way you’re making the code.

After every update, since your first release I’ve spent more time reconnecting the site to your Oauth than making changes for my sites. Some days the Analytics is not working and need to reconnect, other days Adsense works and in those days I hate your product, but I recognize it is useful data so I relogin, but I’m rethinking it.

My Adsense account is open since Google open this opportunity worlwide (14 years), so I know the product very well, the domains were added correctly, and their reaching my income goals. My Adsense account gives access to my main account, maybe that’s why I see errors but one day I see “Can’t get data” and some other days, ask me to relogin and resetup.

Since the install of the plugin I found more ads on other positions on my site, which I found great because my income have increased, but if this plugin needs more attention than my content, then I will uninstall it. And I will give the negative vote to your plugin, because of the development team and their assumptions about the ‘right use or believe about the sense’ of the plugin. We need info, please provide good info, not more work.

I hope these comments help you to make a better plugin for the community with less re-Oauth and gives you ideas to where to optimize the code. I need this info every day, but it is also in many other tools, if your plugin do not work for saving time, then I will uninstall, use the usual tools and never go back to your idea, because of the time lost in re-oauth every other day.

And for the last, the Tag Manager tab is still out of service for my account since day one, and I’ve never been able to use it, shows the same error: “Error: Insufficient Permission”. And ask me to relogin and restart the configuration steps, even when the search console is active, the analytics and the Page Speed console are active and do not display errors. The adsense account remains disabled or not connected with the shame error: “Necesitas volver a identificar tu cuenta de Google”.

This is the message I see, every other login. So if the plugin remains showing the same error, forcing me to relogin, then your solution need too much improvement.

Conclusion: this is for now my worst experiencie from google dev team

    REgards.

@estereofonico Many thanks for your thorough feedback and experience of using Site Kit.

If you are connecting 6 sites and using the same Google account each time then you shouldn’t be encountering requests to re-authenticate your account. It’s possible there many be third party plugins, local software or browser extensions impacting your plugin connection.

If you’d like to share your Site Health information we can see if there’s anything we can identify which could be contributing to this issue. We then then investigate the further problems you’ve been encountering in more detail.

Hi @jamesosborne here’s the Site Health info.

And I’ve just entered my site and the first phrase from WordPress is: “Necesitas volver a identificar tu cuenta de Google. Haz clic aquí”. Just one day, with no updates and the plugin just get disconnected.

This is Simply the worst kit for a site

If you don’t fix this issue this week, I’ll uninstall and avoid to use anything from the Google dev team dedicated to WordPress experience. Looks like the old school code and tricks, are better than your API and this lame implementation.

    Thanks for your help.

@estereofonico I understand your frustration, in particular as you’re an agency. We can hopefully figure out the root cause.

While I discuss with the team can you inform me if you’re in a position to temporarily deactivate some of the plugins you have active, while checking for the same re-authentication issue? I’m happy to test the other plugins which you’re unable to temporarily deactivate.

While testing please do so from a Chrome browser incognito window, so that browser extensions or other software don’t impact your connection.

    (@estereofonico)

Hi @jamesosborne, thanks for your answer, but the disconfort with what you ask, is bigger now. I’m deactivating your plugin now and I will follow your progress until you resolve the Adsense and Tag Manager issues.

I didn’t try to connect to Optimize but I assume has the same problems. To avoid this discussion and give value to my time, your plugin is disconnected from now on. No more chances to lose time with your constant reOauth.

The only plugin to deactivate now is yours.

Maybe when you reach the 3.0 version of this plugin, maybe I’ll use it again.

Thanks for your answer, good luck with your project and please, put me on a waiting list when you get to my ‘solicited’ version.

The other sites with the same error are: https://sociedad.digital, https://glutationplatino.com & https://quintopiso.net

@estereofonico The suggestion to deactivate plugins was temporarily, on an individual site to check whether the same issue arises. I was hoping to determine whether we can pinpoint a possible plugin conflict which may be impacting the connection with your sites.

Understood about not wanting to continue with the plugin for the time being, I appreciate your efforts and informing us of the issues.

I will be sure to personally test all the plugins you have installed myself to check for any possible conflicts. If I’m able to determine any possible cause I can keep you updated here. If I’m able to determine any root cause we can hopefully then get you back on board, and look into your AdSense and Tag Manager issues also.
