Works without attachment – Error with attachment

The owner of the website needs potential clients to send a picture of their car so he can give them an estimate. I created a contact form using this code:

[file your-file filetypes:png|jpg|jpeg limit:2mb]

I also created a forwarding email of [email protected] so the email would match the domain name.

I enabled the google gmail API and installed the WP Mail SMTP Plugin and successfully sent several test emails.

I get this error in an orange box:
There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.

I created a 2nd contact form without the ability to attach an image and that goes through successfully.
