• Regrettably, I have to change my 5-star review from 2 years ago to a 2-star review today. If I am setting up a new website today, I would not use iHomefinder. While their support remains responsive (often 24 hours response time, sometimes same day) they are no longer innovating on the product side. The final straw was they just released an enhancement to search they are calling “Eureka” which is just basically a better map search function than what they had before. However it’s still awkwardly laid out on mobile screens, and no way is it worth $35 a month more.

Their focus now seems to be on building adjacencies to the product, and then charging more per month for those, instead of innovating the core product, which is IDX search. Many screens look like web design in the early 2000s. Thank goodness they finally rolled out full-width photos.

The SEO benefits are gone as Google and other crawlers have become much more sophisticated in recognizing what they call “syndicated content” which is the same content appearing on multiple websites. They see the IDX pages as duplicate content and it doesn’t rank well in many cases.

I would advise you to check out other IDX plugins and look for the ones that are innovating their main product instead of trying to become CRM systems.
