Works ONLY for blog post and NOT with pages

Custom Sidebars requires the page to call sidebar in order to replace it, it can’t put the sidebar on a page that doesn’t have sidebar functionality which is the case with Twenty Seventeen theme.

We do have blog post on how to add sidebar inside to Twenty Seventeen pages and after that you’ll be able to set custom sidebars as well.
