    Fixed it – had to add some additional code in header:

    <!– code removed for brevity. –>
    <meta name=”SKYPE_TOOLBAR” content=”SKYPE_TOOLBAR_PARSER_COMPATIBLE” />

    Works on all my production hosts…
    This plugin only detects whether the visitor’s device that is viewing your blog is a mobile one by comparing the browser info in the HTTP header fields that the visitor’s device sends to the server with known mobile browser names (or if wp_is_mobile() returns positive) – there’s no way I know of of detecting if Skype is available on a visitor’s device as I don’t think this information is made available to the server. Perhaps creating a separate link for skype users would be the way to go.
    Also I’m not doing special jobs for Microsoft any more – let them sort it out their end if they want a working browser.
