Great plugin. Great support!

Love this plugin, and it works really well on one of my sites that pulls in quite a few RSS feeds. Had one minor issue with one release update, and the developer was very quick to send me a patch that got me right back up and running.

On a second site, we didn’t need all the advanced features and were pulling in an RSS feed from Mailchimp to have an easy way for our PTA community parents to see archived emails from the weekly news emails. Seemed to work fine for a while, but a newer update caused it to timeout when trying to connect to the Mailchimp feed. Putting the Mailchimp feed through the validator showed that the problem was with Mailchimp’s feed, and not with this plugin. However, the developer gave us a beta version to try out, which at least fixed the issue and starting pulling in the feed again. However, it still took a very long time for the Mailchimp feed to respond, and it was slowing down the page load considerably (around 10 seconds for the home page which has the feed in a sidebar widget). Again, the developer came up with another patch for me to try by the next morning, but I already found another very simple plugin from Mailchimp that did what we needed for the PTA site (just a simple list of latest news archives).

Great plugin with even better support from the developer! Just make sure your RSS feed conforms with the standards, and you should be fine. Works flawlessly on my music-and-technology.com web site!
