• The extra files added outside the common directory structure are a little cumbersome, but still, this is the only plugin that worked in my case, as a drop-in webp solution, without needing a paid third-party service. I tried about five other highly rated and popular alternatives, but this one alone did the trick. Something I’ve added to my .gitignore, which, depending on your strategy, may also help you:
