Works but very slow on large site

  • I have a very large site with over 8800 pages, and complex multi-level structures. The plugin failed when reinitilizing the tree from WP pages:
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) /wp-includes/meta.php on line 833. But even so, it seemed to work from the WP Dashboard. But expanding and collapsing thee structures took 10-30 seconds, depending on number of child pages. Way too slow!

    IT also reports 20 pages as “Lost”, but nowhere does it explain why, and WP thinks the same pages are just fine and under the appropriate parent pages.

    I am only considering this plugin because CMS Tree Page View, which I have been happily using for years, seems to also have started having problems with the number of pages on my large site.
