• No documentation inside the WP admin (not even showing the shortcodes) seems silly, and “visit plugin site” leads to an error page. Once I found the shortcodes (under FAQs at the WP plugin page) it started working, but as the author says, there’s no styling, and since there was no structured data output either, I uninstalled.

    Hi Hendison,

Sorry to hear your experience with Clean Testimonials was not the best.

I am a little confused, however, as indeed all markup output by the plugin is well structured and can be easily styled. Furthermore, if you are using a well built theme, styling should be inherited making the plugin output fit right in.

Lastly, all shortcodes are displayed on the relevant pages. You do not need to visit the FAQ page for these. For example, when viewing the Testimonials page in the backend, you will see a shortcode for each and every testimonial displayed in the “Shortcode” column. Please see the screenshots section.

If you do not see this on your end, I submit you have a different plugin installed which is causing some trouble.

Quite frankly, I believe that when a basic plugin spams documentation pages within WordPress itself it comes across as bloatware. You said you found the answers you were looking for on the FAQ page when infact this is exactly what the page is for ??

If you would like to leave any feedback for changes you would like to see in a future version, please feel free to let us know!

Again, sorry to hear your experience was not the greatest, however if you give it another try I’m sure you will join all of the others who love it!

    Hi Luke,

I like the simplicity of your plugin; works like a charm, no bloats, etc.

One thing I’d love to see in your next update would be the “Rotator” function which allows us displays a rotating, fadein/fadeout testimonials in the sidebar. Currently it only displays 1 flat, random testimonials.

    Cheers,
    Freddie

    Hey Freddie,

You can! There’s no fading effect, but you can easily add this yourself if you like. If you’re not a developer, then go ahead and submit a feature request on Github and I’ll get it in to a future version.

    The shortcode to use is
    [testimonial id=”random” cycle=”true”]

    Cheers!
