Works but new post email doesn’t send

  • Hi,

    The plugin works as expected, but when I use it, an email notification for a new post does not go out. If I publish a new post without the plugin, it does go out. Any reason why this is happening?

    Hi TFE – good point. All this plugin does is change the status of the post to PUBLISHED. Are you talking about the email notification through Jetpack’s SUBSCRIPTION plugin? If so, I can do a little research to see how they work together.

    Yes, exactly – the Jetpack subscription module. Please do. Would love to keep using this plugin but as of now I need to decide between my subscribers receiving an email and having my posts publish on time!

    Hey I was working on this and noticed even my regularly published posts weren’t sending out the email. Even with the plugin disabled. Is jetpack subscriptions working with your regular published posts?

    Yes. If I publish a post without scheduling, the subscription feature sends the emails.

    I’ve made a slight update to the script, so please update to ver 1.7. Let me know if that works with the JETPACK plugin.

    Tested the update (1.7) and it did trigger the JETPACK subscription email for me. LMK!

    We had actually already updated to 1.7 last night – as of this morning, the subscription email did not send. I guess some other plugin must be interfering then?

    User reactivated plugin and it works. Huzzah!
