Works but could be improved

  • It works!

    Although:
    – Not for my custom post types created with ACF
    – I had to adjust “Posts to process per page reload” and click “Convert” a few items to get all my 350 posts converted
    – The result message doesn’t seem reliable (showing “127 posts converted” repeatedly when converting a category and its parent category)
    – A calculation of the conversions to be made before clicking “Convert” would be very nice

    We have just released v1.1.4, developed with your feedback in mind. This update includes:

    • Enhanced category dropdown to display terms hierarchically along with their post count.
    • Improved post query to exclude posts in child categories, ensuring accurate conversions.
    • Refined text in progress and completion pages for better clarity and user experience.

    Regarding your other points:

    • Our plugin currently supports only standard post types. We’ve updated the plugin FAQ to make that clear.
    • I tried to replicate the issue of “127 posts converted” getting stuck but couldn’t. I tested with 600 posts, and it ran as expected. It could’ve been a conflict with another plugin or a server timeout, I’m not sure.

    Good to hear that my feedback was useful! Will check the changes next time I have to make a bulk convert ??
