• I really didn’t like the way this plugin completely over-wrote my existing events page without asking; also altered the page layout by removing sidebars.
It’s probably OK if you’re an experienced WP user.

That doesn’t sound right… have you considered asking for support in that plugin’s dedicated support sub-forum?

I ran into the layout issue too but that was just a plugin option.

Another problem was that after it overwrote the existing event page and I replaced it, the event page looked OK in admin but always displayed the content of the home page when viewed. There is another post about this in the support forum that I’ve posted the issue on.
I’ve uninstalled it for the moment in favour of something simpler.

Hey westerngeomancy, thanks for the review here and for your follow-up. (Thanks, too, Jan…really appreciate you stepping in to try and help!).

Regarding the core issue: this definitely sounds like it was not the intended behavior of the plugin, as Jan noted. While it’s totally understandable if you’ve moved on to another solution at this point – I would love to hear more from you in a dedicated forum thread if you were willing to troubleshoot at some point down the road. We’d love to get you up and running with a fully functional calendar.

Otherwise, it’s good to hear you find another solution that works for you. Thanks again for the feedback.

I don’t have the time to play with it at the moment rob, but I may give it another shot at some point in the future.

Thanks for the reply! Totally no rush as I’d imagine in the big scheme of things, it’s not a priority ?? I’m totally here to help if you ever do. Cheers and thanks again for the review.
