Works as advertised
-
This functionality should be built-in to Gravity Forms, but since it isn’t, this plugin is the best option, I’ve found – and I’ve tried several. This plugin is a great find and does exactly what it advertises it does.
That being said, I would like to suggest a few changes.
- Instead of using the field labels as placeholders and then hiding them, the Gravity Forms UI should be provided with an “as needed” over-ride (as shown here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-add-placeholder-text-in-gravity-forms/)
- Complex Fields like Name & Email (with email confirm turned on) need a way of adding placeholders in two fields, while at the same time, hiding the labels of two fields.
- The “Required Field” asterisk should be displayed ahead of the placeholder, and doesn’t work at all on complex fields like Name and Email (with email confirm turned on). The should also be a way to not show the “Required Field” asterisk, even if the field is required, when using placeholders.
