Works

  • It works. Out of the box there was a small display issue that was either the plugin or more probably my theme, but my developer soon nudged the output so all is good.

    It would be nice if the plugin could be enhanced to give greater control over what is displayed (if it exists, I’ve missed it). I.e. to DISPLAY the ISBN number, to say only show YEAR of published date (strip any -MM-YY options).

    It will be interesting to see how the developer’s new affiliate plugin will co-exist. I hope it will realise there is more to life than just Amazon, as I want a simple plugin that not only can work on different Amazon stores with ease but realises that other stores/affiliates are available. TIme shall tell, but thank you for the plugin we have to date.

    There has been requests made to have custom fields to the plugin. Have you seen the Book Review Roadmap? You can vote on your favourite feature requests.

    Admittedly, I have been focused on the Affiliate Linkalizer for Amazon plugin for the last several months, but will need to circle back around to Book Review and make some enhancements to it after that.

    As for other types of affiliates programs, I am going to take a “wait and see” approach. That is, wait to see what happens with Affiliate Linkalizer before deciding what to do next.

    Thanks. I had not noted the roadmap but will visit there now.

    I guess with AL, if it goes well and does what you want, adding extra outlets should be easier once the core structure and localising tech is ready! Just bear it in mind please !
