• Plugin working as described, really like that you added “fetchpriority high”

    I do have a suggestion for some future update though:

    I have a large site with nearly 1000 posts, would love if the plugin could automatically add Preload to post featured images, or possible by Class Name, in my instance that would be: class=”post-featured-image”

    This would save users with large sites from having to updated hundreds if not thousands of posts,

    Thanks for listening and good luck with Preload LCP Image, Good Plugin!

    That’s a really good idea! Didn’t think of that (the class name).

    There are other plugins that do the preload featured image (the featured image was quite small in my instance, but there was a large cover element on the page), but we have the options page so I guess it’s not too tricky to introduce a default option. I’ll have a think regarding the class name as I guess we’d have to do a scan of the page before loading (and the image will have to be in something like the the_content).

    I really appreciate the feedback though!

    That would be great (by classname) if someone needed/wanted to preload Site Logo, and/or Featured Image, maybe the first block image on a Blog Page, ect…

    Again thanks for taking the time with me. Looking forward to future updates. Respectfully

    Oh, since you’re being so warm to suggestions:

    I preload my Site Logo with a little trick I picked up from a real Speed Guru, Gijo Varghese from WP Speed Matters. In addition to “fetchpriority high” …He also preloads images as follows…..

    decoding=”sync” loading=”eager” fetchpriority=”high”

    I have it implemented using the plugin Real-Time Find Replace, works exceptionally well.
