    Hello Yoast,

Links to a social profile with german umlauts in URL are detected as false, but they are the correct URLs, but cannot be entered in this way. Please adjust the URL filter.

    German Umlauts are: ?, ?, ü, ?, ?, ü and ?

    Hi @odak71

Thanks for reporting this concern. Just to clarify, the issue is that when you try and input the URL for the social profile with German Umlauts, it cannot be saved, right?

Would it be possible for you to add the URL with the encoded UTF-8 character? For example, ‘?’ would appear as %C3%9F in the URL.

No, how can I send you a private message with the linkedin-link?

    Hi,

We don’t accept private messages for support for the Yoast SEO plugin. You may want to consider Yoast SEO Premium for personal premium support and to contact our support team directly.

Were you able to try using the encoded version of the German Umlauts to see if it is valid as a field in the SEO configuration workout?
