    Hi All,

I just downloaded and installed WordPress and I would like to use it as a business website. I don’t really do blogging, but might want to incorporate a section with some news and such as things develop.

I have installed WordPress in its own directory on my web server, but unfortunately, when I work on updating the theme, all the links still point to my root folder so my regular website is coming up.

Is there a way I can tell it to point to the “WordPress” directory on my site to launch pages and work offline (or at least so that it doesn’t affect my current website)? Eventually, when I am done, I would like to install in my root directory to replace my current website.

Also, any suggestions or pitfalls you might recommend to a newbie are welcome…

    Thanks,

    Eugene
    (I am using version 2.9.2)
