    First off – GREAT plugin.

My issue: I’m having mixed results using your widget with Page Builder by SiteOrigin. (I understand if this is outside the scope of your willingness to help, but maybe you’ve come across my problem before.)

I created a new template based off of default.php and placed it in the flexible-posts-widget folder in the root of my theme.

After adding the widget to a module in Page Builder by SiteOrigin I select my new template and save my settings. But only default.php loads regardless. However, when I place a file called default.php in my flexible-posts-widget folder, that one is used over the one in the plugin folder.

    Bizarre, any thought?

    Thanks,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

That is odd indeed. I haven’t worked with Page Builder, but I do know that most “page building” plugins have a hard time with widgets like FPW since they don’t take advantage of the complete sidebar/widget “stack” the same way that the main widgets admin area does.

Having FPW default to your theme’s version of default.php does make sense as this is the default functionality of the plugin. It will always use your theme’s version of a template over the built in version.

I’ll have to spin up a site with PageBuilder and see what I can deduce. I’ll keep you posted with what I find. Sorry for the trouble.

    Hi DaveE,

Great plugin. I’ve got what I think is the same issue: all settings changed in the widget are not saved when the Page builder page is saved. Everything reverts to the default.

It would be great to be able to use this plugin within page builder.

Chiming in with a “me too”, settings for this widget seem to reset after saving a post when used with Page Builder by Site Origin.

Thanks for the notes, everyone. I have indeed confirmed that FPW does *NOT* work with Page Builder. I’m not sure if it ever will.

Of course, ever is a long time, so hold tight and I’ll see what I can do. Just no promises of compatibility at this point.
