• I’m not sure how to ask this question, but I have a custom taxonomy, that is hierarchical the way that regular categories are. To give you a visual idea about the taxonomy, it is geographic, location based and the top level entries in it are continents, then to countries, states/territories/province, and finally city. And the whole thing is global. As you can imagine, the list can grow quite large as new entries get added.

Is it currently possible to work with child entries in custom hierarchical taxonomies? If so, how? I have no problem getting the alphabetical list of locations to display using the taxonomy command in the shortcode, but I’m wondering if there is a way to take advantage of the parent/child organization and display it. Combining it with the more/less toggles would make it even more efficient.

So I guess the question becomes, how does this work with hierarchical custom taxonomies and their children?

I’m sure it could be done but it sounds like you really need something custom for your specific needs. You could end up with millions of links being displayed and this plugin will probably choke.

Since you know exactly how your lists will be created, it might be better to build something than to try and modify this plugin.
