Please check the text tab on your post editor page. The page which simple drop cap is not working correctly has its paragraph put outside the <p> tag. That’s why it’s not working. Put the paragraph inside the <p> tag and see if it works.

    Hi Yudistira,
Yes, I checked that already. I put the text in a <p> tag, but as soon as I save it the tag gets removed.

UPDATE: OK, this is just strange. If I insert an image before that text, the dropcap doesn’t break the styling – i.e. the text is properly wrapped in a <p> tag.

I’ve tried re-typing it, copy and paste into textedit, still no go. Checked for any javascript errors. Nothing.

    Hmm…still looking into it.

Can it be a conflict with other plugin? Please update the plugin to the latest version and make sure your first paragraph is put on new line on the text tab of the post editor.

Let me know if it works.

    Thanks,

    Hi Mauris,
Conflict with Shortcodes Ultimate plugin. It’s a pretty popular plugin. Any suggestions?

I have never used shortcode ultimate so I am afraid I don’t know the solution at the moment.

    no problem Mauris.

I uninstalled shortcodes ultimate for now. Keeping the dropcap was more important.
