We have been using Offload Media for a while and it is working great. However, we moved our blog to another domain (it is in a subdirectory) and physically moved the files. All is well on the new server however, in wp-admin, ALL media in posts is broken. There is nothing in the log file – just every media is trying to link to /uploads/2020/03/ or whatever… it isn’t going out to the CDN (s3 bucket) – the public site works great. The media library works great – just the images within the posts are all broken.

Any idea what could be going wrong?

NOTE: I can go back in the post, click on edit image, pick ANOTHER image, then edit that and pick the original image and it fixes the admin. My settings are all in wp-config… I did downgrade from the pro-version if that matters…

When you migrated the site to a different location, and therefore different URL path for media and other links, did you properly search/replace the database contents to update all URLs embedded in content?

Thanks Ian, I did… that was the very first thing we did.

I did figure out the solution. When the actual WP user went to add a new post, she emailed me that media uploads weren’t working. I CHMOD 777 * the uploads folder and it fixed her problem AND The images no longer showing up in admin. they had a+r privileges so I don’t know why WP needed write privileges to get offload S3 to work but that was the fix. Everything is 100% fine now. Wonderful plugin!
