• I have a question about using WordPress:
Is there any way to have a wordpress site without paying for a website/ host. I know that it will take me a long time to build my site, so I dont want to set up a domain until the site is ready. In the installation instructions it says I need a host and running site in order to work on my wordpress site. Is there any way I can have a wordpress site on my local files, without paying for a monthly hosting fee?
I do have a wordpress website that is hosted by blue host, so maybe there’s a way to work on a second website from my dashboard there?
    Thanks.

  • Free Domain – https://www.no-ip.com/ or some others which provide free service if you are running in a dynamic ip address.

Free hoster – Your desktop pc which running as a server hosting wordpress.

    Free pointer to note
    – Make sure your server is able to handle to flow of traffic.
    – Your pc may have to turn on 24hrs x 7 days.
    – Does it really worth it as compare to electrical bill each month to pay a share / dedicated web hoster since this is just purely one site only.

If you have host account at bluehost then create a new folder in root folder and install wordpress in folder until you ready

You can install WordPress on your own machine and build your site there, but it’s unlikely other people (either visitors or contributors) will be able to access it during this phase.

To install WordPress on a Macintosh, see "Installing WordPress Locally on Your Mac With MAMP". When you’re ready to migrate the site to a hosting company, see "Moving WordPress".
