working local to uploading on an external web host

So I have been working on a web page locally using MAMP and a WordPress theme called Thesis. I have been going trough a tutorial from Lynda.com where it explains the whole process of uploading it using FileZilla and drag and drop over after I created and connected to the site.

The problem is even though I followed all the instructions correctly the installation process won’t start when I go in to the domain in the browser. All the folder just comes up as list directories.

Does anyone know what the problem might be? I think it might be that I have put in some wrong information in the wp-config.php file.
