Working from temporary /development domain

    Hi,

    We are moving from CCV software to Woocommerce and chancing a lot of URLs (based on Yoast recommendations). To lead the customers to the right URL, we are using this awesome plugin.

    The question I have now:

    I am working on a development server (https://health…..myhoasted.com/). When finished, the domain will move to it’s live domain https://www.health…..nl.

    The redirects now show the dev domain in the old URL. Will the “dev domain” part automatically be replaced by the live domain, when the site goes live?

    I searched for an answer on this, but couldn’t find it (search terms: development / temporary)

    Thanks (I don’t want to be doing all the work on the redirects for nothing)

    Hi,
    Some redirects are saved as relative and some as absolute URLs. So your mileage may vary ??
    But you can always export the rules to a CSV, open it in Notepad, do a quick search and replace and import them back in.
