    It wont work for me Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong. When I go to customize the preview shows the site in the color scheme I want. Yet when I return to the site it remains black.

    I had the same problem with a child theme.
    My problem was that I had plugins active not supporting the actual WP version.
    I suppose, in my case it was the feedjit plugin.

    Thanks. I removed any plugin stating it had not been tested for the latest version of Word Press. However I am using Go Daddy email marketing (GEM) which has not been updated for the latest version of Word Press. Is there anything I can do to make forteen colors work and keep GEM?
