working auto tag plugin

Hey guys,
I have a WordPress site that depends heavily on the tag system. I tried some plugins to scan each post and insert links to existing tags. All well so far..
But when I have a tag named ‘jazz’, and another tag named ‘Taiwa Jazz Band’, it only highlights the word ‘Jazz’, and it leaves out ‘Taiwa – Band’.
This ofcourse is logical.. But a big problem to me nonetheless.

I’ve tried modifying such plugins to start filtering at the longest tag (ie. first look for the longest tag (Taiwa Jazz Band), then shorter (Jazz).
I think such modification would work, but I cannot succeed in coding it..
Does anyone have any tips on how I might get this solved? Thanks!
