• My site login page was getting attacked this morning and my hosting service recommended this plugin as a safety measure. Installed on a site running 4.1 and it bounced the wp-admin and wp-login urls to the homepage as desired. The new login url worked for my user name for about an hour, but a different administrator couldn’t login at all, trying on all different browsers. When I gave up trying help my coworker I went back to my station and discovered that I could no longer log in as well.

On looking at the file logs in cpanel I did notice that a W3 Total Cache “minify” page was getting called. I had cleared the cache after installing this plugin, so I’m not sure if those weren’t working well together. But it was just the css file, doesn’t seem like it should be a problem, but that file had never been called when trying to login before.

Anyway, I don’t know what the problem is, but there’s no point using this to add security if I can’t even log in. Deleted it through cpanel file manage since I couldn’t access the WP admin at all.
