Worked perfectly

I downloaded this plugin and installed it after reading the reviews (good and bad) and the documentation, including solving common programs (such as uninstalling and link problems). I’m relatively experienced in WordPress site management, as well as the management of the server and the use of CPanel tools (database creation, i.e.).

This plugin worked exactly as promised. It was a one-button process to create the clone site on my server and a one-button process to delete the cloned site once everything was tested. The cloned site (including a small Woocommerce shop) worked perfectly. The clone helped me figure out which plugins needed to be updated in which order.

I updated WordPress, Woocommerce, Woocommerce Memberships and multiple plugins. Then, tested everything on the cloned site while logged in and logged out. I’m not sure why one needs to buy the premium version to push the cloned site live, particularly if the cloned site is on the same server as the live site. Use the cloned site as a roadmap to update the live site.

To clone the site and database (about 4 gigs) took 29 minutes total. To delete the cloned site and the cloned database from the server took less than one minute. There is a “delete” button on the plugin’s setting/site page.

I’ve been agonizing over the set-up of stage sites in order to test the new versions of WordPress and Woocommerce. This plugin made that process easy, safe and saved me hours of time. I plan to use the plugin on our other site with a larger Woocommerce shop that is hosted on a different server. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the plugin, and happily have nothing to say about the developer’s support, because I didn’t need any help at all.
