    This started out very promising, but it just doesn’t work.

    Starting with a clean db, ftp dir and a minimal WP install the installer.php fails reliably with error: 200 or error: 0, either way it says there’s already a wp-config.php in the direction, there isn’t, and won’t go on to step two. But it restores the files and db, if I could just get to the part where it modifies the database all would be well…

    Any help would be much appreciated,

  • This could be a cache issue. You might try this:

    1. Remove all files and directories from the install path except the installer.php and package.zip files
    2. Clear your browser cache
    3. Try to re-run the installer
