Hi, I already have wordfence. I have an auction wordpress site and am getting tons of fake subscriber/bidder registrations from Russia and Mexico.

Can your plugin block registrations from certain countries based on IP? If yes, can I use it along side wordfence?

    Hi,

    Work with Wordfence? – Yes.

You can configure the actions for wp-login.php.

    Login actions to block

Please refer to release not 2.2.8.

    Hi,

I’ve using your plugin for several years without an issues but after switching to Cloudways hosting, I have clear the cache every 2-3 days as the plugin is perceiving a country code of ZZ 127.0.0.1 as an issue of some sort. I got locked out of my site, and had to ftp to the backend to delete your plugin. The ZZ country code and 127.0.0.1 is of course my hosting provider’s servers in New York. But I love your plugin because 95% of my visitors are from the US so I blocked Russia and about a dozen other countries so I would love to continue using the plugin, but can’t because of the need to clear the cache thing. Thanks!

I decided to use Country IP Specific Redirections plugin and it works like a charm.

Frank, 127.0.0.1 is your own, local computer and shall not be blocked.

    Hi @mibtp,

I checked your suggestion and unfortunately found the potential issue of “IP address fixation” which would cause to avoid blocking by country (but not the security issue).

I think the right direction is here.

    Thanks.
