Does this work with EVERY image uploaded to the site?

I ask because buddypress users upload their images as group avatars. It doesn’t save those images in the same folder as most media. So while I need those images to be compressed (especially since I don’t always have control over them), they aren’t saved in the same way as other images uploaded to the site.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hello there @markgardnerlvp, I hope you’re well today!

What version of bp are you using?
Could you please try it with version 1.7?
If it still doesn’t work with the newest version, I’ll notify the plugin developer and we’ll take a closer look at it…

    Cheers,
    Ari.

I just upgraded to 1.7. But I’ve been using another optimizer. I was checking here before switching.
I might just make the switch and let you know the result.

    Just to update…
I’m sure it’s not the plugin’s fault but as soon as I installed and activated, my website went down. Uninstalled and tried again after it came back up, but the site went down again.
I’m sure it’s not the plugin but I don’t have the time to troubleshoot and risk the site going down again.
    Thanks for following up!

Did your site report any errors before going down (perhaps not to screen but maybe in your server’s error logs)?

    Hey there.

If you do get a chance then could you please check your error logs and let us know any errors there then this should help us to debug further.

    Take care.

I apologize for not getting back to you. Error logs on the server are deleted after 2 days and I didn’t get back to them in time to see if there was any helpful information there.
Very sorry I didn’t get a look before they were deleted. Hope there’s some other way I could help.
