• WP Version 2.0.3

    Just today I tried to post my weekly Friday Funnies post, and couldn’t understand why everytime I pressed ‘save and continue editing’, it failed and took me back the my home page but the url was mydomain.com/wp-admin/post.php.

    After reading a few other forums and trying to find answers I started removing segments in an attempt to find out what was causing this, it wasn’t the size as I had posted larger posts in the past.

    To cut a long story short, I can’t post the word ‘biopsy’
    Are there some words that can’t be posted?
    Has anyone else come across this or knows what (if anything) can be done to fix it.

    Are there reserved words that just cannot be posted?

    Thanks Everyone.

  • “biopsy”? Sheesh. The last time this sort of thing was posted it was “curl” – which is a server-problematic sort of thing….

    Ask your host if they have a problem with that word, and if so why, and would they kindly fix it.

    And I just tried it on one of my blogs (version 2.0.4), and it was fine. Ask your host….

    Found another for my host – “autopsy”
    Weird – have contacted host to see what they can do – will let you all know the findings.

    Might be a “opsy” thing?
    Thanks vkaryl for your reply.

    I installed WordPress from cPanel using their automated install sequence. Just checked my hosts support forums and found this little gem.

    Just added this to my blog root .htaccess file.

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
    SecFilterScanPOST off
    </IfModule>

    Seams to have done the trick, hope this helps anyone else having the same problem.

    Wondering if it might be an issue with the browser and any of those ‘naughty word’ filters on the market.
