• Sweet mother of God Gutenburg is nothing but garbage! It took me ten minutes just to figure out how to make a photo link to a page.

WordPress was fine the way it was. It was intuitive and had a simple yet functional interface. Gutenberg is an attempt to fix a problem that wasn’t there in the first place.

I guess their software engineers didn’t have much workload so they forced them to create this monstrosity! This will be WordPress’s ‘New Coke” that’s for sure…

  • Thanks for including a specific example about having trouble adding a link for an image. I can use that feedback.

Editing tools are complex. There were indeed problems with the old editor. It’s also very easy to forget what pieces were not intuitive to start with if you have been using something for a long time. May I ask how long you’ve been using WordPress and if you could change one thing to make block editing better, what would it be? What would make it more intuitive in your mind?
