• ive been using wordpress for a fair while now- still learning loads. So it’s not for me to criticise the whole wonderful operation here at www.remarpro.com. But one thing ALWAYS drives me crazy-

-when you search for a plugin, you get a long list of plugins, and under each blue plugin title, you get a bunch of garbled nonsense that is rarely relevant and helpful.

Why on earth can’t there be some standard where any plugin submitters have to put a short summary of what the plugin does, or what its main features are, for these results. I reckon it would save hundreds of thousands of accumulated human productivity man hours worldwide if this simple change was enacted.

For example, if you search facebook plugin- you have to click into about 7 or 8 or them, and even then you don’t get all of the information you need, particularly on screenshots.. You spend a couple of minutes in each plugin, searching the info for what you want, as alot of them dont list exactly what they do. Why not have a standard list of features and purpose, so people dont have to click, cause use of computing power, wait for it to load, refocus on a new page etc. it all takes time and power. Imagine the accumulated saved time if this changed!

This is my way of attempting contributing to wordpress, as i’ll never be writing plugins or themes; i cant code. I realise that everything here is for free, so its hard to demand people do things, but surely this suggestion- a standardised summary of what each plugin does under the title in a plugin search– would be good for the entire wordpress world and help it grow.

    Look forward to any thoughts.
    Regards.
