• Hey there. I want to copy my entire list of links from one WordPress blog to another without having to sit and copy/paste each link individually. I know that I would need to copy (part) of one of my MySQL databases…but I have no clue how to copy it, what I need to copy, what settings I need to do from the control panel, or how to paste them to the other server. Damn, I’m dumber than I thought. lol. Anyway, could someone please tell me how to do this? Thanks!

  • Hi, there may be a simple way of doing this (if there is, hopefully someone will come along to tell both of us), but until then, do you have access to phpMyAdmin for the MySQL databases behind both blogs?

Are links not part of the import/export functionality ?

You can import them…I don’t think you can export them. I’m using WP 1.5 by the way.

And yes, I do have access to the phpMyAdmin…I just don’t know how to export the database and then import it into the other. I’m really new to using MySQL databases.

Are both source and destination WP installations the same version ?

Yes, they are the same version.

Go here, but when you select tables (last set of steps), only select wp_links (in the picture at the bottom, where the big red “1” is).

The use this, but only drop wp_links from the database you’re importing into.
