Since yesterday, when I attempt to visit Site Stats from my dashboard, the page is blank. I haven’t changed anything, and the graph would display earlier in the week. I know WP wants us to upgrade to Jetpack, but I don’t need or want all those extra features, so I was hoping to be able to keep using WordPress.com Stats as is. Any ideas on how I can get my Stats display back?

Further investigation reveals that it may be an issue with my host loading third-party content. Can anyone advise me on what host / port / link the Stats plugin tries to access, so I’m better prepared when I contact my hosting provider?

Trying to access the dashboard.wordpress.com link found in the source code for my Site Stats page shows the message “No blogs…yet” which seems wrong. Is something down on the WordPress.com side, or do I need to reconnect my blog to WP.com somehow?

When I attempt to visit the “your WordPress.com dashboard” link from my WP stats plugin page, I get this message:

You are not a member of this site.
If you have just installed the WordPress.com Stats plugin, this error probably appeared because the API key entered in the plugin belongs to a different WordPress.com user account.
The owner of the API key must visit this site’s stats page to grant access.

How do I correct this? I got a new copy of my API key and reentered it on my Akismet page, and it validates.

The WordPress.com dashboard issue appears to have resolved itself. As for the initial problem, I contacted my hosting company and found out that they are currently filtering out third-party content in an attempt to solve a load problem. No ETA on the fix, sadly, but at least I know 1) it’s a known issue to them and 2) it’s not due to anything about my site or anything I did. Answering my poor solo thread just in case anyone else is having similar issue.
