WordPress.com stats plugin API problem
-
I did a search of my problem, and while I found others who had the same problem, I couldn’t find a resolution. If somebody here can point me in the right direction, I’ll be forever grateful.
I’ve had the WordPress.com stats plugin for a while. I’ve just upgraded to WP2.6, and the plugin gave me the “needs attention” message. I clicked on it, and it asked for my API key. I entered that and got this:
*********************
The API key “###########” belongs to the WordPress.com account of “username”. If this is not your account, please re-enter your API key.
According to the WordPress.com database, this API key is already associated with at least one self-hosted blog. You can add this as a new blog on your WordPress.com account or replace an existing blog and inherit its stats history.
Add new blog to my accountDo this if this blog is new or has never been associated with your API key. This blog will be added to your WordPress.com account.
*********************
Unfortunately, it doesn’t tell me how to replace/inherit, and when I try clicking the “add” button at the bottom, I get a “Missing API key” error.
How do I get my stats back?
