I noticed that there are others that have the same problem. I have followed all the instructions that they have received and can still not find my key. Hav had my blog since 2005 so any email containing the key will be long gone.

Hi, you need a wordpress.com account, the API key is in the profile of that account. You don’t need to sign up for a blog, just an account.

    It worked. Thanx =)

I have an account and have checked my profile. The wordpress.com api key is not in my profile. This is not the only thing I have found that is not where it is supposed to be. There is supposed to be a radio button requiring one to register before commenting or posting. That’s not on the user panel either.
    What gives?

It is in very small type at the top of your account information. I looked all over for it the first time.
