    The wordpress_google_apps_login cookie appears to be set (if not already) in the response for any page when Google Apps Login is active. This prevents caching from happening downstream. Nginx’s FastCGI, for example, does not cache any response with a set-cookie header. This behavior also affects public REST endpoints.

    Could you limit the scope of pages where the cookie is set to authentication pages?
