  • Hi ervin,

What’s your database looking like? I suggest checking the wp_options table for autoload records, these can really slow down the backend.

i just go on wp-optimize and tried to clean it up. my database size is at 19.5mb. is that big?

if so, how should like minimize it?

    any ideas?

    thank you

Yeah that’s pretty large. Remember it’s all text, and each character is 1 byte. So your database has 19500000 letters.

Does that sound proportional to the amount of content you have? If not then your database has bloat.

i do have quite a bit of pictures. i’m assuming that’s pretty big?

i use smush it to reduce its size.

i’ve used several database optimization plugins to try and reduce it but i could only get it down 1mb.

do you have any suggestions on reducing it?

    thanks

    ervin

Pictures wouldn’t affect your database size.

How many records are in your wp_options table? This table can get bloated over im and it can easily affect load time.
