WORDPRESS WONT UPDATE

  • Hi there! I ve been using wordpress for years and its the first time I am encountering this problem. I cant update anything on a wordpress site, not the version of wordpress, not the plugins. It doesnt show the button for update, neither the button to delete plugins, neither the button to add new plugin. I surfed the internet for solutions and tried some things but without success. Deactivating plugins, changing permissions to files via ftp, finding problems with muplugins etc etc. Nothing worked and i cant understand why I cant update the wordpress… Any thoughts?

  • Please check your wp-config.php file for a constant – DISALLOW_FILE_MODS. That would prevent you from updating plugins and WP core.
