• After updates (I think from Avada) my site won’t start up and I don’t have acces to my wp-admin? I received an e-mail from WordPress but the link to the ‘recover’ modus expired after one day. So I like to know how I can fix this…

  • You need to check your WordPress instance permissions. Make sure that you are using the latest supported PHP version, and check its compatibility with your themes and plugins. As a last resort check if the tables of your WordPress database are corrupt and repair them.

Thanks for the info, but where can I do that? I can’t acces my /wp-admin?

It depends on what kind of hosting you are using for your WordPress instance. You can ask your hosting provider to check those things for you if possible.

    Hello comcorde
Can you access you site with FTP? Probably you got the credentials from your hosting company, otherwise you can ask them.
When you got your FTP credentials, you can have access to the files of your website. To do so, install a program like FileZilla on your computer.
Then go to wp-content and rename your plugins directory to plugins_disabled. Try again if you have access to your wp-admin. If so, enable plugins step by step to see which one causes the problem.
    Hope this helps!
